This bill was passed/ forced sneaked/through on March 12th at the beginning of the pandemic... it's designed though not worded exactly this way, it implies that all encrypted AKA private messages between people would still be allowed but the government would have to have a back door to enter and read any of messages should they choose to.  This has dire consequences for freedom of speech and privacy.  We shouldn't let our government that we elect do this to us and they did it in the sneakiest way possible, gross shame on them. We have to stop this, it takes away so much power from the individual.   Privacy is right.  Without privacy we lose all individual control and governments can do whatever they want cuz they have everything.  you'll hear people say I have nothing to hide but it's not about what you have to hide it's about giving such an enormous power to people already enormous power. Should the tides change and a government decides they don't like something about you,with or your friends or family or a group of people they can figure out who those people are through their private chats or private messages and they can Target them. You could just be an immigrant or part of the LGBTQ++ community or someone who just doesn't agree with the policies of the government and they can come after you using your private conversations to track you.  This is highly alarming and I think a lot of people should care about this.  I'm hoping to get a million signatures a billion would be better.
