Today, (06/22/20) Microsoft announced that they intend to disband Mixer - intergrading their users and partnership into Facebook gaming and streaming. They fear Mixer does not have the potential to scale whereas Mixers Streamers and Viewers highly disagree. Mixer provides a streaming community unlike any other streaming service. It is void of toxicity and provides a warm welcome to all. Whether they’re a streamer or viewer. Unlike Twitch, YouTube, or any other platform; Mixer encourages experienced Streamers to host and co-stream with inexperienced streamers. Merging with Facebook will alter said community. Ultimately destroying the friendliest streaming server known today. I urge everyone, if you’re a Mixer user or not, to sign this petition. The internet is not a kind, safe space, but Mixer is. I encourage everyone to take the time to fully experience Mixer this last month. I believe such a simple gesture will open anyone’s eyes to just how significant Mixer is. Microsoft might not believe in Mixer, but I can assure you the people do.
