Who are we? The family structure from parent to child allows culture and history to be handed down from generation to generation; however the education children are taught in our schools often either misleads or just blatantly gives false narratives about the reality of times past. I speak for people of color when I ask that there be courses set up with the purpose of teaching parents as well as children about their true, authentic history; especially children of African descent. A true history only ensures a greater future. Give our children the knowledge they need to become the infinite assets they were born to be and not the limited chattel we’ve all become. Our future depends on a present predicated upon the truths of the past.
