Punjabi (ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ) is a Indo-Aryan language. It is the native language of about 130 million people, and is the 10th most spoken language in the world. Most of the people who speak this language live in the Punjab region of Pakistan and India. It is also widely spoken in manly parts of North America and around the world. It is natively spoken by the majority of the population of Pakistan.

Also the 27 million people are followers of Sikhism, that makes it the fifth largest religion in the world, The followers are called "Sikhs", and their holy book the Guru Granth Sahib is also written in Punjabi (Gurmukhi).

We, the Punjabi speaking people love Punjabi, as it is our mother tongue and we want the Punjabi Language be given the same status as 'English, French, Chinese etc' as a system language in our favorite phones also with a smart keyboard to type Punjabi, so we can better express ourselves. 

This will also enable the cellphone to reach-out to the users who are currently unable to get along with the new smartphones as they are unable to read English (or other language barriers) or prefer to read Punjabi.

Handheld devices have become an important part of our daily communication and today, On our 'Punjabi - Mother Language Day' observed every year on Feb 21st, we believe that Apple, Google and Microsoft will consider the deep love of Punjabi people for their mother tongue and will enable us to communicate and express ourselves completely and also enable our new generation to keep in touch with their rich language.

We believe that many other people from different regions are curious about this beautiful and sweet language and the rich culture hidden inside it and this CHANGE will provide them with necessary tool to start with.
