Windows Media Center has been around for a little over 10 years in that time it has revolutionized how many of receive our cable or antenna TV, our streaming content, watch movies, listen to music, and share photos. With a properly configured WMC Computer and Media Center Extenders it becomes a whole house entertainment bundle. Many people have spent money on these extenders and tuner cards that will become obsolete if they make the update to Windoes 10. Windows 10 will be a more secure operating system and will be the software in which Microsoft will be putting their resources into with updates. So the technically inclined that use WMC for their household will not be keeping current or able to use some of the new features being offered in Windows 10.
