This is important because it will allow for a lot more freedom and creativity when selecting your Xbox Live Gamertag. They should at least allow the special characters underscore _ and hyphen - to be used in an Xbox Live Gamertag. I also think that they should allow for Xbox Live Gamertags to be at least 20 characters long, rather than the very restrictive 15 character rule that is in place right now.

This is also important because of the fact that several thousand new unique Gamertags will be made available when they make this change.
