343i and Microsoft include split-screen on MCC PC
The Issue
The year is 2019,
The gaming industry has changed quite a bit the last 10 years.
Companies started to listen to fan demand which led to countless remakes, remasters and re-releases.
Some have been sub-par and some well done but then we get this.
The Master Chief Collection on PC so far is by no means subpar or well done it's phenomenal. With my experience at this point it plays flawlessly, looks gorgeous and controls exactly as i had hoped and remembered.
I was having a blast and was pleasantly surprised. Then came the issue when I went to add a second controller to play with my daughter and realized there is no split-screen support.
Split screen is part of Halos core and is part of the reason Halo 5 suffered such backlash.
It is how a lot of us grew up playing and something a lot of us would like to pass on to our kids as well
Even just having a few friends over chilling on the couch with a few controllers is always a blast.
How at launch such a integral feature of a Halo title was not included blows my mind.
A decade ago plug and play pc controller standards were just becoming a thing so i could see split-screen being a issue.
Technology has progressed leaps and bounds beyond that now though.
I say if it's on console at this point it should be featured on pc as well.
Yes I know the PC landscape typically does not cater to split screen this is a fact but also is a mold to be broken.
If you guys want to make the definite Master Chief experience for PC that's part of how you do it. Include everything neglect nothing.
If this is seen by any of the listed individuals involved in this I ask you all to please look in to the feasibility of including split-screen in the PC release of The Master Chief Collection for all titles.
