Relocate the Clarke County Court House Confederate Monument to a museum.

The Issue

The Confederacy fought against the United States in an attempt to preserve slavery and white supremacy .  They turned their backs on their nation, their oaths, and the sacrifices of their ancestors in the War for Independence. ... They attempted to destroy their nation to defend chattel slavery and from a sense that as white men they were innately superior to all other races. They fought for white racial supremacy. Having the statues out in the middle of town do nothing but  glorify them and their actions. It completely contradicts the current values of this nation. The monument should be removed from the lawn of the court house. Some may argue that they are to honor the soldiers, but why would you want a memorial of people who rebelled against the US and fought for something so vile displayed like that? Removing the "monuments" and relocating them to a museum would be the perfect solution. That way history is not erased.
