This judge is very bias, prejudice against women, all for men, and no concern for what's in the best interest of the children. Many women have lost their kids to abusive men and men who are addicted to drugs. She refuses to put the children first. She does not use reliable witnesses testimonies, or licensed professional counselors or phyciatrists or facts to make decisions. She uses her personal opinion to make decisions on what she thinks is right and not what is right for the children. I am including comments from a previous Petition filed to remove Judge Mayfield. This petition is to attempt to preserve justice and protection for the women and children of Berrien county when attorneys hesitate to defend their female clients and protect them, because to do so would end their chance at any success in Judge Mayfield's court in future cases and effectively destroy their practices. This petition is intended for the sole purpose of giving a voice to, and preventing continued abuse of, Berrien County Michigan Women, and their children, who have been through a divorce and experienced one, many, or other than, the following by virtue of having Judge Mabel Johnson Mayfield presiding over their cases : judicial bias, loss of civil rights, discrimination based on the gender specific role of housewife and mother, loss of their share in marital assets and property, loss of spousal support for which they qualified under MI guidelines, have been denied their right to payment of attorney fees and court costs because they are indigent or receiving any type of state assistance as defined by CHAPTER 2. CIVIL PROCEDURE, MICHIGAN COURT RULES, 2.002 and any applicable portions, refusal of a bias judge to recuse herself when requested by the woman's attorney under above rule book and 2.003 and the Supreme Court ruling under the Crampton Standard: Crampton v Dep’t of State, 395 Mich 347 (1975) , mistreatment by the court and/or opposing counsel as a victim of domestic abuse, child endangerment when an abusive parent is given unsupervised visitation, loss of custody when they attempted to protect their children, their rights, or their safety, use of facts not in evidence against them or to benefit the opposing party, facts in evidence are ignored when they favor the woman and do not hold the opposing party in a good light or prove them to be in contempt of court, refusal to find the male in contempt of court using facts in evidence, refusal to order emergency child support, refusal to suspend the driver license of a non paying father. Or any other violations experienced within Judge Mayfield's court that are not stated within the body of this petition.

SUPPORTER COMMENTS I have first hand experience of a girl who was raped and abused by a man and got pregnant. I witnessed bruises on her legs and ligature marks on her wrists. She came to me right after she got raped by this man and I told her to call the cops. She said she was terrified of him and afraid for her life if she did that. Two years later this man files for custody. The girl had gotten married to a well respected farmer and he raised the baby since it was born. The baby has his last name and his name is on the birth certificate as the father. The rapist had the Judge order DNA tests to prove he was the father. I have seen text messages from the rapist saying he held her down and forced himself in her. She was advised to pursue rape charges against the man and is now waiting for the Cass County Prosecutors Office to investigate. In the meantime this Judge Mayfield will get the DNA results and make her decision on custody for this rapist with no regard to the best interest of this baby who already has a mother and father who he's known his whole life. A state licensed counselor testified it would  TRAUMATIZED this baby to be with a man who abused his mother and has a bad temper and Judge Mayfield stated that this counselor was crazy and didn't know what she was talking about. I personally heard this man say to this girl on the phone when the baby was crying, "SHUT THAT KID UP OR YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN" Not only that - a witness saw this man throw the baby in the crib when it was very young out of anger and walked out. When it was presented to the Judge under oath, she said she didn't believe the witness and the witness wasn't credible enough for her.  This man also stated he knew that Judge Mayfield was on men's side so he stated she was too stupid to see through his manipulation and his attorney's manipulation.  This Judge has to go.

ANOTHER COMMENT:  There are too many kids suffering. What's it going to take, a death for someone to do something about removing her from office. This judge ignored evidence and Psychologist testimony that the allegations against me by my ex were completely perjurous and unfounded. Judge Mayfield then took my children from me. My ex eventually dumped them off once he managed to continue to use this judge and her court to abuse me and control me after we were divorced. SHE DESTROYED MY LIFE, BOTH MY CHILDREN ARE DEAD, AND SHE GAVE MY INHERITENCE TO MY HUSBAND AND BROTHER WHEN THE WILL SAID WHO THE PROPERTY AND HIS LIFE LONG WORK WERE TO CARRY IT ON, SHE GAVE EVERY THING TO MY BROTHER AND MY HUSBAND LEAVING MY SISTER AND MYSELF, BOTH PARAPLEDGICS PENNYLESS I have watched a good friend get chewed up and spat out by an obviously biased court system, without very little support or help.
