Stop Dress Codes in School

Stop Dress Codes in School
The Issue
I want to get rid of School Dress Codes, The school dress codes apply more girls then boys, which is wrong. The way we dress in school doesn't affect our education, People shouldn't have to be worried that they're gonna get a suspension or a warning on what they wear to school. Why get a suspension for the way you love dressing? Detentions, Suspensions, and Being expelled, they all go on file, it affects our future for college and so much more. Smart students cant wear a crop top, because it's inappropriate to show your belly but yet ruin their future? Nothing you don't see when people swim in gym at school, and the fact that girls can't wear something that shows your shoulders? Or even spaghetti straps that hold your shirt up. We can't even wear shorts unless they're past our fingers, what about the girls with the long arms? or the girls who wear their sport outfit to school? It shouldn't be a crime to wear something you feel comfortable in, there is no serious danger to this in any way. I have gotten many warnings because I wore a shirt with thin straps, they called my mom to bring me something else to wear to school, or I had to be sent home. How is this fair? I miss out on a school day, then they ruin my attendance all because its a school policy? Now I'd understand if they were talking about things like, "Don't wear see through stuff" but just because something shows a belly button, which everyone has btw. I want to make a change that's better for students and family's, because if I don't then who will? I know this sounds crazy, but one of my friends who was in school, got a suspension for wear a shirt that showed a little tiny part of her stomach, because it was a little too small, she had outstanding attendance, heck you would never see her miss a day of school unless she really needed too, and she was outstandingly smart, and she was always happy, until the school gave her a suspension, which she never even had before, nor a detention. She was really upset that she asked to be homeschooled once the year was over with. Her mother let her, because her mother went to the school and asked them politely if they could give her a warning, and do you know what they said? They said "We're sorry it's against school dress code, If we could change it then we would." Now we know the Principles won't change it or anything, and the district won't, they want their reputation to look good to the government, showing their doing their jobs "Correctly". Unless doing your Job correctly is making people feel uncomfortable because they can't wear what clothes they have in their closets or dresser, that their parents bought them, then you might want to find a new Job, because last time I recalled this is America, and if We have Freedom of Rights then why are we not being treated as equally in school? Our ways we dress, does not affect the way we think with our brains in school. They tell us we need to 'Dress for Success' But really we're dressing for their success in looking good to the state.
