If you drive this intersection on a daily basis, specifically north and south, I'm sure you share my frustration. Traffic gets backed up 10-15 cars deep during "rush hour" traffic. You can sit and wait 10-12 minutes to cross M-44 at certain times. By installing a traditional traffic light, the flow of traffic will increase, thereby allowing you to complete your journey with less frustration and in a timely fashion.
