On June 23, 2017 Egypt Covington was murdered in her home. VanBuren Township Police have not been able to, and will not be able to, solve this homicide case. They have botched procedures and mishandled evidence to the extent in which they will not open up their files to Michigan State Police. Detective Charles Bazzy has declined help on two occasions and Director Gregory Laurain has avoided the offer for over two months now, stating that they "have a handle on it". Our family has uncovered MANY mistakes in their investigation and are disgusted at their incompetence and lack of integrity and empathy in Egypt's case. Please help us put Egypt's case in new hands so that our family can find the JUSTICE that we, and Egypt, deserve!
