Today is International Women’s Day - a day deeply rooted in the history of women’s collective action for our rights. Will you join us today in speaking out for our rights online?
In January, we delivered our petition to No.10 to demand that the Online Safety Bill addresses violence against women and girls. We’re THRILLED that we have the support of an incredible 100,000 people!
But the fight’s not over yet - we need your help to show the government that we won't stand by while they fail to protect women and girls online.
Progress towards our vision of a safer internet for all
The Online Safety Bill is now in the House of Lords, where we have secured support for our campaign from across the political parties. Led by Baroness Morgan, a group of Peers are championing our call for a violence against women and girls code of practice in the Bill - which would hold tech companies accountable with clear guidelines for preventing this abuse, as well as serious consequences.
But that’s not the end of the Bill’s journey, as it will then return to the House of Commons. So we need to keep up the pressure on government to see us to the finish line.
Help us create a safer internet for us all by tweeting the Prime Minister!
