UPDATE: Today your voice will be heard, as politicians and influencers join us to deliver our 86,000+ strong petition!
Today’s the day! It’s time to deliver our petition to No.10 and demand that the Online Safety Bill addresses violence against women and girls.
With recent attention on misogynistic influencers like Andrew Tate, and how this misogyny manifests as violence against women and girls - the need to address it couldn’t be more urgent.
As the Online Safety Bill completes its final stages in the House of Commons, we will deliver a petition to the Prime Minister supported by an incredible 86,000+ of you!
This petition calls for the Bill to protect women and girls from abuse - the government can do this by introducing a violence against women and girls code of practice and provide clear guidelines for tech companies on how to prevent this abuse - or face serious consequences.
We are louder together - your support is helping make positive change and a safer internet for us all!
Today, we’ll be joined by Alex Davies-Jones MP, Caroline Nokes MP and Baroness Nicky Morgan, campaigner and influencer Sharon Gaffka, and other women’s rights campaigners.
Keep an eye on our socials and help make this a moment that can’t be ignored by posting and sharing our content @GlitchUK_ @EVAWuk
We’ll be back in touch soon with an update, next steps and how you can keep up the pressure on government
Thanks as ever for all of your support and solidarity.
Andrea and Seyi
