Hello, 

I am creating this petition because my son Demario D. Tabb, Sr. #396061 was wrongfully convicted and has served 17 years to this date of a life sentence for a murder he knew nothing about. During his trial the alleged killer took a plea deal to say that my son did the killing. This was during election between 2005 -2007 so my so did not have a fair trial and right after my son was convicted; the prosecutor was elected Judge. Also, my grandson, Caterrious D. Williams, #17159182 was indicted May 30th, 2018 on murder charges due to "Probable Cause" because his ex-girlfriend said he did it. The "Justice System" in the state of Tennessee and I am quite sure in other states was/is not designed to help those whom live in poverty and who knows little to nothing about the law. My family and I have spent handsomely on private attorneys to help us try and reopen DeMario's Post Conviction and they all have failed due to the covering up of the District Attorney's Office(Amy Weirich) in Memphis, TN. We have paid for lie detector tests and have been denied the administration of that. We have reached out to the Innocent Project and they have refuse to move forward with my son's case due to lack of informaton and corporation the District Attorney's Office with providing the "Initial Police Report" from the first call when this crime happend. We still have not received or seen the inital police report only the arrest report. Regarding my grandson; there are no evidence; out of 12 witnesses that was in this house when this baby was murdered; no one heard or seen anything only a bitter girlfriend who lied under oath several times during my grandson's preliminary hearing. Now his mother has to raise $10,000 to hire a lawyer so her son would hopefully have what my son didn't have and that's a Fair Trial. Now, I have a son that is currently incarcerated on "Probable Cause" or because an ex girlfriend who have changed her statement for times before the Prelimary hearing and still changing her statement on social media. She even admitted to be cohearsed on what to say by her mother after leaving the homicide office giving her initial statement. My son has served 3 years awaiting trial; which I pray will be justice and not injustice.
