I suppose I shouldn't have been shocked at the sentencing .I should have know better after researching previous cases like this and the need for this petition. I appreciate the Judge was acting within "the guidelines" and also believe he studied all the documentation but was restricted by "the guidelines" She knock Graham of his bike with enough force to seriously damage her car,left the scene,reported her car stolen and then continued to lie for the next six months "within the guidelines" equals 4 years and one month in prison,if she stayed and not reported her car stolen she would probably be on community service with a £100 fine although the end result would have been the same for our Graham. Her defence was she has dual personality and left the scene through panic .Please listen to the recording on the link attached,this was an hour after the incident and tell me there is panic in her voice while she is reporting her car stolen. Thank you all for supporting this petition it is still as essential as ever that the "guidelines" are reviewed quickly and we stop this leniency with errant motorists and give more protection to our vulnerable road users ,please continue to share so we can pressurise Parliament to make the long overdue alterations to "the guidelines"
