It’s important because countless times people are left overdosing and the people they are with get scared and leave them out of fear and because there is NO law that requires them to render aide or call for help or they face criminal actions. 
On July 28th 2020 we lost a brother, son, father and all around amazing man. All because his childhood best friend DID NOT call 9-1-1 to get my brother help. Instead my brothers friend (Frederick Gagnon) stole his money & personal belongings and left him to die with a homeless man who never even knew my brother Michael. Had his friend called 9-1-1 instead of robbing my brother of his things & his life we would still have my brother with us today.

This has been the 2nd friend that Frederick did this to and no criminal action is being done because there is no law that stats it. This is happening way to much anymore all over the world and we need to help put a stop to it!

This would mean so much to our family by getting this law passed & helping our family in grieving my dear brother and seeing something positive come out of my brothers death. Just knowing we could try helping another family from going through the pain our family has been through.  Please help me give my brother the justice he deserves and help me by signing this petition in hopes they will pass this law in his memory so that we can try putting a stop to OD and bring more awareness across the NATION!!
