Petitioning Blizzard's CEO Mike Morhaime to unban innocent unfairly banned WoW-players
The Issue
Dear Mr. Morhaime,
I have been playing your games for over 10 years now, I've played World of Warcraft for 10 years exactly, and I would've played more If I wasn't treated as many others have been lately In the past few years. I'm talking about the many unfair bannings and suspensions I've seen across various forums, and I've not realized this situation Is so dire until my own account was essentially hacked and taken out of my control for months until I noticed It was too late - my account stolen, locked down by blizzard but not returned to me for unknown & unspecified reasons.
I'd like everyone to understand, I make this petition for Mike Morhaime, the CEO of Blizzard Entertainment to take action against so many bannings & suspensions that have been clearly falsifies, made from personal bias or otherwise, or simply due to the lack of work from a Customer Support Staff, aka a Game Master.
I am very serious In my dedication to unban myself, my friends and the rest of the community of World of Warcraft, we all know Blizzard's Customer Support can be very harsh sometimes, too harsh perhaps. And due to this and many other reasons their game has been falling apart since Wrath of the Lich King, the second expansion to WoW. I have tried time and time again to speak to Game Masters, getting nothing better then monkey like robotic answers which frankly Is insulting.
I believe a drastic change In Customer Support has to be made among other things to Improve the quality of their game before their latest expansion Legion even begins, and I ask Mike Morhaime to convince his Customer Support of WoW to re-review my ban & other bans, to be done so by multiple GMs, not just one like was In my case, which seemed to show a personal bias to my persona.I wish to come back to WoW, as do many other people I've seen on the various forums Including Wow-europe.com Blizzard's very own WoW forums, Mmo-champion.com and many others.
I do not believe every single banned person In the last 5 years Is innocent, of course not. But I know for certain, people like me have been banned unfairly and unjustly, and treated unfairly by blizzard Customer Support for the last year, since 15th of April, 2015 - even after there being 250+ tickets, 100+ emails, 50+ live web chats, 2+ phone calls made, It made no difference. My innocence has been tossed aside as another casualty. My loyalty to the company means nothing, my account has personally never had a black mark on It ever, In the last 10 years. Quite frankly, I believe not only I but everyone else deserves a second chance to come back Into today's game, Is that not what Blizzard want us to do, to return to Legion and play It again? But the way they ban their loyal players, or even those who've played for a year or less It doesn't look like that Is the case.
If Blizzard gives us a chance we would come back to your game, and your game may still have a chance, and one of the first things you can do to help your game to survive Is make your Customer Support Personnel less aggresive, and more pleasent and helpful, as well as actually solving our problems and not banning us for nonsensical reasons.
When I have time from my work, I go to my computer and play World of Warcraft, It's a neat highlight of my day, where I can simply relax and forget the problems of the world for a while, pretend I'm an orc or a human, a mighty tauren or a tiny gnome. And It's this among other things that Warcraft does to me, It's a sanctuary where you can relax with your friends, go out and adventure and we want to experience this again! This has helped me In my life immensely for the last 10 years, I'm able to speak english only because I've played so much of WoW, met so many diverse people, culturaly or otherwise, learnt to be tolerant, to be nicer, I felt happy going further In life as long as I had WoW, It was my drug but a less costly one and It won't kill me.
Do you think we who've been banned ALL deserve to stay this way? Do those of you who were banned unfairly want to remain banned, don't you want to relive the joys of Warcraft? Help me, and yourself by signing this petition so that It may be shown to Mike Morhaime himself so that action Is taken, and our accounts may be given back to us In one form or another. I've quite frankly waited long enough, a year Is enough and I will do what Is In my power to return my account and the joys of playing Warcraft back to myself and the community of warcraft who was mistreated by a few Game Masters who couldn't do what they should've.
If you believe In Blizzard's ability to help It's customers still, sign this petition, tell your friends and others who you know have been banned unfairly lately and be given a second chance at playing their game, If Blizzard won't listen to us, their customers then their game will simply fail as It's failing since they've stopped listening to us.
Lastly, I've been part of the WoW community for 10 years, and I've met many great people, Including Game Masters, I do not condemn all GMs of being evil or on purposefully banning people like this. But not everyone Is an angel.
Thank you for reading the Petition and remember, our voices count If we make them count, and what better place to do that then Change.org
Thank you for supporting this petition and sticking with us until the end.
