With an influx of new housing in the northern corridor of North Lanarkshire (Wards 5 & 6) over the past decade there has been a steady reduction in the amount of public transport despite a rising population.

A review of the Stepps/Gartcosh train line which is all too often cancelled, for a number of reasons, leaving the people of the area often stranded.

A review of the bus service in the following areas; Annathill, Auchinloch, Cardowan, Chryston, Gartcosh, Glenboig, Moodiesburn, Mollinsburn Millerston, Mount Ellen and Stepps.

We the undersigned call upon the Cabinet Secretary to review and take action on the lack of public transport within the area.
