We are appalled by the lack of correct process in disendorsing  Delia Lawrie as the Member for Karama. This is not an acceptable action.

Delia Lawrie has been effectively fighting for the people of her electorate  since 2001.  She is admired and respected in her electorate and widely throughout the NT. She has always spoken loudly for the rights of women, Aboriginal people and the disadvantaged.  In government until 2012, she served loyally as Deputy Chief Minister, Attorney-General and the Minister for Justice. As Treasurer, she helped keep the NT on course during the aftermath of the GFC.

Delia's compassion, genuineness, intelligence and excellent grasp of policy development, make her an asset to both Territory Labor and the people of the Northern Territory. 

Delia has always served the party with loyalty. She deserves the same back. We ask that the party reconsider this flawed decision to disendorse her.
