The 120 year old deodar trees on Santa Rosa Avenue (Christmas Tree Lane) in Altadena growing in the County median are under severe draught stress. In 1979 a watering system was installed by the County that would be turned on in times of draught that Christmas Tree Lane volunteers would use to water the trees and keep them alive.

This year the County of Los Angeles is REFUSING to turn the water on so that volunteers can save the these historic trees that are part of a California Historic landmark and part of California's cultural heritage.

Please instruct the County employees to turn the water on and allow volunteers to save the trees.
