9th Street in Los Osos is a residential area, but also is one of the most used streets to get to Baywood. The speed limit is currently 35mph, but a lot of people drive 45 and upward. There are no sidewalks and often older children ride their bikes toward the edge of the road. If you are pushing a stroller or you’re in a wheelchair you often have to go into the road since their are sand piles, pot holes, and uneven ground on the shoulder. It is a major source of anxiety for families that live on this road. 

Los Osos Valley Road has areas where the speed limit is 25mph, even though it's four lanes. It is a reasonable request that 9th Street be 25mph as well.
