Stowfield viaduct lydbrook is now closed due to being in a poor state of repair, it will cost a lot of money to reopen, but is the only way to cross the river for walkers, and people staying at the hostel, it is used by so many people as it is the only way to cross from Gloucestershire to Herefordshire as part of the wye valley walk. But each end is owned by the different councils. If it is not feasible to repair, with maybe help from grants in lottery funding, or heritage funding, could a new crossing be built, we are petitioning for a crossing to be reinstated.
