For the past 100 years The BSA has helped boys grow into young men. With the recent vote of allowance of girls (starting in 2018-19) into Boy scout troops and packs. I feel as if this will change the BSA into a way that will never be able to be fixed. I am not against Girls being in a system like the BSA, just not the BSA. 100 Years ago Baden Powell created the BSA to influence boys. If he wanted the girls to be included, he could've started it right then. Here's some points.

1.  It is literally in the name, The Boy scouts of America. And all of the values will have to be changed
2. There is already two systems close to the BSA. One of which is Girl scouts and the second is Venturing scouts

Also, wouldn't be easier to just add to and edit TWO diffrent systems, rather than change the BSA to conform to girls and boys? What I mean is, you'll have to start teaching the importance of keeping a rule of, even though you have to use the bathroom at 1 AM it's not safe to go with out 3 people in there. If there is a girl and a boy in the bathroom, who knows what could happen. So if you have read all the way through this, I believe that Girls should not be in the BSA, And the Venturing/Girls scouts be changed to be more like the BSA.
