Amid the Covid-19 outbreak Miami International Airport has the potential to become a source of contagion. The MIA workforce is being exposed to high risk flights from the areas of outbreaks. The personnel at the airport are not being provided protective gear such as gloves, hand sanitizer etc. There is no safety distance between passengers and they are being processed in crowded security checkpoints that has the potential of maximizing the exposure and increasing the risk of contagion. Professional companies are not being hired to sanitize the airport areas and instead the regular cleaning company is spraying airport areas without any proper procedure. As a resident of South Florida I believe it is very important to shut down the possible entry points for the virus.
