Goran Dragic #7 in the rafters

Goran Dragic #7 in the rafters
All-star point guard Goran Dragic dedicated 7 years of his life and professional career to the Miami Heat Organization we love, most of those years being largely unfruitful as he was the vet on a team of scrubs. His hard work and dedication finally paid off in a lovely and thoroughly entertaining relationship with Jimmy Butler that netted Heat fans wins on and off the court. The Dragon has made his way into the hearts of Heat fans everywhere as he was the embodiment of the Heat Culture: putting his heart and soul (and his injured body) on the line every time he stepped onto the floor in a Heat uniform.
I cannot imagine there are very many people happy to see him go as there was no downside to seeing Goran Dragic on the Heat roster-- he brought wisdom, talent, mentorship, and pure effort that exuded Heat Culture everyday. We are all sad to see him go in a deal that may or may not be a good move for the organization and hopefully he comes back in D. Wade fashion to retire a Heat Lifer. But all we ask from the Heat organization and Pat Riley, on behalf of #7 Goran "The Dragon" Dragic, is that this Heat legend is the last one to wear number 7 and that his extraordinary character, effort, and dedication that flourished within this org. are commemorated in mammoth scale while hanging in the rafters at the once AA Arena, now FTX Arena. All the best in your future in the league Gogi, and here's hoping the Heat Org. can respect your legendary years with us. Thank you Dragon .
