Generally in many public bathrooms you will find disposable toilet seat covers; however, in Miami Dade Public Schools there are no disposable toilet seat covers in the bathrooms. As a young child I grew up with my parents teaching me not to sit directly on the toilet seat, since it could lead to giving me infections and getting sick. Surprisingly, this is a common prevention taught to many children. So it does come as a shock that where young students spend most of their time in schools, the bathrooms do not have disposable toilet seat covers. In order to cover the seat, students are wasting toilet paper. By providing disposable toilet seat covers, students are able to use it without wasting toilet paper and can stay protected.
