Save Pepsi circular theater from imminent demolition at 7777 NW 41 ST in Doral, Florida.

Save Pepsi circular theater from imminent demolition at 7777 NW 41 ST in Doral, Florida.
The Issue
I had a meeting with Councilwoman of Doral (city of Doral, Florida) Digna Cabral on January 5th at the Doral city hall. There were a few other officials (including the current Doral City Manager Albert Childress) also at this meeting listening what I had to say. They gave me 45 minutes of their time to hear what only I had to say about this topic, and I got to hear what they had to say. The Doral officials I met with this morning made it sound like it would be very difficult for them to do anything that would preserve anything on the property at this point in time. They were saying any concerns citizens had about the property should have been brought up at meetings in 2019, or even preferably before the property was sold. I just found out about the imminent demolition of this property two months ago, or less. Everything on the property is suppose to be demolished in the near future, however they could not give me a date for demolition. For the most part they will only be building long rectangular warehouses, with a small segment of retail space. A demolition permit has been requested, but I do not think the demolition permit has been approved yet. At least that is my understanding. According to them as soon at the demolition permit is approved; demolition can proceed immediately. I tried contacting the Terra, and Terra Nova companies that I believe currently own the property in order to tell them my concerns about trying to preserve the bottlecap theater, and any large trees that are on the property (however there are not many large trees). I feel the life of these large trees should be respected, and preserved. I never heard back from the current property owners in my emails to them telling them my concerns. This property consumes about 23 acres of land, and was the Pepsi bottling plant until about 3 years ago, or so I believe. I think there are many citizens of Miami Dade county that would very much hate this bottlecap theater to be torn down. For years it has been very visible from the Palmetto Expressway (I believe since 1964 when it was constructed). I know this may not seem like a very old building, but it's architectural significance I think should be around for many of us in this county to enjoy long into the future. Much better looking than just a rectangular warehouse. Doral does not have many significant buildings worth preserving, but this in my opinion is easily one of them. The bottlecap theater only takes up a small segment of the property, and it is structurally sound, and looks to be built entirely of reinforced concrete except for the windows of the structure, but even those windows are very strong. In the last two weeks I have also contacted all four major news stations about this topic in the Miami area via email, but I have not heard from any of them. I have also talked to on the phone the chief of historical preservation of Miami Dade County since the city of Doral does not have it's own historical preservation society. Miami Dade County oversees such issues for the city of Doral, and other smaller incorporated municipalities in the county. She said she would look into it, and will get back with me soon. The location of this property is at 7777 NW 41 ST Doral, Florida. Please let the city of Doral know that you want to save this by clicking on the mayor, and city council link on this website https://www.cityofdoral.com/government/ I have also contacted all four local news channels via email about this topic, but no response from any of them. Today I contacted some other local preservation groups with the hope of someone able to help save this building, and hopefully the large trees on the property also. Probably an even better way of trying to preserve mainly the circular theater... and hopefully the large trees on the property would be to contact the Terra Real Estate Group using this link: https://www.terragroup.com/contact/ also contacting the Terranova real estate group at: https://terranovacorp.com/contact-us/ & tell them you would like this circular theater saved, and if possible build around the large trees (even just saying that I feel I am selling out because that also means all the land behind the old Pepsi plant would be built on... and I am sad to see the old Pepsi bottling plant torn down... unless Pepsi built a new bottling plant in it's place, and kept the circular theater & trees. Although Pepsi does not own the property anymore. Maybe contacting Pepsico corporation at: https://contact.pepsico.com/pepsico and Pepsi at: https://contact.pepsico.com/pepsi to tell them you would like the circular theater kept on their former property, and how much you think of that building, and sad to see them leave as the owners of the property. I would even go further to wish they would build a new bottling plant in it's place instead of the proposed rectangular warehouses, and bit of retail place that is purposed for the property. At this point however I think the current owners Terra, and Terranova real estate companies have almost all the say so what happens with this property at this point.
