We are asking Mayor Gelber and Miami Beach Commissioners to repurpose Ocean Drive and dedicate street space to restaurant outdoor seating.

Restaurants are reopening and will only be allowed to operate at 25% of their indoor capacity – many may not survive. We can't let that happen – more outdoor seating for socially distanced dining can help them stay afloat. 

Cities such as Tampa, Cincinnati, and San Jose have already put plans in place to create car-free zones to increase outdoor restaurant seating. Ocean Drive is one of the most iconic streets in the world and deserves a sustainable economic future.
