MGM: Fan tips for the planned new "The Pink Panther" film series and more
The Issue
The planned new "The Pink Panther" film series should be called "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles", and should have all of the elements from the 2 previous "The Pink Panther" film series universes, including characters, stories, and music compositions(including all of the previous versions of "The Pink Panther Theme"), and in this new film series, the character the Pink Panther(who should be hand-drawn-animated and who shouldn't speak much, but should be voiced by ) should be used as a being who's mystically tied to the Pink Panther Diamond, and can only be seen, heard, & felt by certain characters, including Jacques Clouseau(who should be modeled after the original version of the character played by Peter Sellars, Adam Arkin, and Roger Moore, with a hint of the version of the character played by Steve Martin) and Charles LaRousse Dreyfus(who should be modeled after the original version of the character played by Herbert Lom and the version of the character played by Kevin Kline, and John Cleese). These films should have hand-drawn-animated opening credits sequences and computer-animated closing credits sequences. The computer-animated closing credit sequences should be reminiscent of the unused computer-animated opening credits sequence that was made for "The Pink Panther"[2006](which should be used as the end credits sequence of the 1st film of the new film series). The design of the animated version of Jacques Clouseau that was used from "The Return of The Pink Panther" to "Trail of The Pink Panther" in the original film series should be used in the opening credits sequence of the 1st film of the new film series, and from the 2nd film of the new film series onward, the design of the animated version of Jacques Clouseau that was used in the "The Inspector" animated short film series should be used in the opening & closing credits sequences.
With the 1st film, which should be titled "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles: The Case of The Pink Panther Diamond", the characters should include Charles LaRousse Dreyfus, Francois Renard Duval Chevalier(who should be an amalgam of Francois Duval Chevalier and Renard), Dala(AKA Xania)(who should be an amalgam of Dala and pop music star Xania, with her real name being 'Dala' and her stage name being 'Xania'), Yves Gluant, the Phantom(AKA Charles Lytton), Yuri(who's a trainer for the French national soccer team and is secretly an assassin), Gilbert Ponton, Cato Fong, Nicole Durant, Simone Clouseau(who should be depicted as Jacques Clouseau's ex-wife), George Lytton(who's the nephew of the Phantom(AKA Charles Lytton)), Cherie(who's an employee of the French national soccer team), Bizu(who's a player for the French national soccer team), Jacquard(who's a player for the French national soccer team), Vainqueur(who's the current head coach of the French national soccer team), Raymond Laroque(who's a friend of Yves Gluant and is a wealthy casino owner), and Nigel Boswell(AKA Agent 006)(who's an MI6 agent), and it should be an amalgam of "The Pink Panther"[1963] and "The Pink Panther"[2006], with music compositions from both films being used, and with the story involving the following. Pop music star Xania(AKA Dala)(who's the former princess of the country Lugash, which went through a military takeover a year prior to the events of this film) leads her fiancee, the famed French soccer coach Yves Gluant, to believe that she has just given him the Pink Panther Diamond(which is so named because of the flaw it has that looks like a leaping pink panther, and which was given to her by her father when she was a child) as a sign of her commitment to him, before a major soccer game, when, in reality, she has given him a fake reproduction of it and plans to give him the real diamond immediately after their wedding ceremony. After the team that Yves coaches wins the game, he is sneakily killed with a poisoned dart by a soccer coach named Yuri, who then takes the fake Pink Panther Diamond, which he believes is the real deal, and gives it to the master thief called the Phantom(who's secretly a playboy named Charles Lytton), who also believes that it's the genuine article. This leads to Charles LaRousse Dreyfus officially putting accident-prone imbecile Jacques Clouseau on the case, in order to draw the news media's attention to Jacques, while Charles unofficially puts a team of other people on the case, with him planning on winning the Legion of Honour for his role in the case being solved. This film should use some of the story elements from "The Pink Panther"[1963] and most of the story elements from "The Pink Panther"[2006]. Right after Yuri is taken into custody and Jacques Clouseau is applauded for mostly solving the case, the film should cut to Charles Lytton(AKA the Phantom) and Simone Clouseau, who have fallen in love, on their way to a vacation destination, with it being revealed that Charles had discovered that the Pink Panther Diamond given to him by Yuri is fake, and has vowed to steal the real Pink Panther Diamond someday. After this, it should be revealed that Xania(AKA Dala) has decided to donate the Pink Panther Diamond to a museum in France. This film should end the same way that "The Pink Panther"[2006] did. This films opening credits sequence should be an amalgam of the opening credits sequences of "The Pink Panther"[1963] and "The Pink Panther"[2006]. This film should be at least 2 hours & 14 minutes long(without counting the opening & closing production logo sequences and the opening & closing credits sequences).
The 2nd film, which should be a remake of "A Shot In The Dark"(the music compositions from which should be used), should be titled "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles 2: A Shot In The Dark". This films opening credits sequence should be a recreation of the opening credits sequence of "A Shot In The Dark".
The 3rd film, which should be a remake of "The Pink Panther 2"(the music compositions from which should be used), should be titled "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles 3: The Case of The Tornado". This films opening credits sequence should be a recreation of the opening credits sequence of "The Return of The Pink Panther".
The 6th film, which should be a remake of "The Pink Panther Strikes Again"(the music compositions from which should be used), should be titled "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles 6: The Case of The Madman". This films opening credits sequence should be a recreation of the opening credits sequence of "The Pink Panther Strikes Again".
The 7th film, which should be a remake of "Revenge of The Pink Panther"(the music compositions from which should be used), should be titled "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles 7: The Revenge of Inspector Clouseau". This films opening credits sequence should be a recreation of the opening credits sequence of "Revenge of The Pink Panther".
The 8th film, which should be a remake of "Trail of The Pink Panther"(the music compositions from which should be used), should be titled "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles 8: The Case of Inspector Clouseau's Disappearance". This films opening credits sequence should be a recreation of the opening credits sequence of "Trail of The Pink Panther".
The 9th film, which should be a remake of "Curse of The Pink Panther"(the music compositions from which should be used), should be titled "The Inspector Clouseau Chronicles 9: The Case of Inspector Clouseau's 2nd Disappearance". This films opening credits sequence should be a recreation of the opening credits sequence of "Curse of The Pink Panther".
The 10th film should tell an original story.
There should eventually be a film titled "The Son of Inspector Clouseau" that's a remake of "Son of The Pink Panther"(the music compositions from which should be used). This films opening credits sequence should be a recreation of the opening credits sequence of "Son of The Pink Panther".
