Grazie! Insieme possiamo fare la differenza.

English version:
Non-resident and Erasmus students in the Campania region do not have access to discounted transport passes, unlike their resident peers. Help us change this!

Hello everyone! We at Noi@Europe work with and for young people, mainly within the metropolitan city of Naples. Over the past year, our association has promoted the project "Per una città accessibile" through the Erasmus+ program—an initiative created to meet and listen to a specific group of people: expats living in Naples. By this term, we mean those who find themselves living away from their permanent residence for a specific period of time. This category mainly includes Erasmus students (from two to twelve months), Italian non-resident students (fuorisede), and international students who have moved here for an entire degree cycle (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD).

Through meetings, focus groups, events, and questionnaires, we gathered feedback on the strengths and challenges these people encounter in Naples during their integration process. Among the main barriers, language, difficulty in finding information, and the housing crisis obviously stand out. However, the issue raised with the greatest frustration by both Erasmus and non-resident students is the inability to access discounted public transport passes—a right that is instead guaranteed to their peers residing in the Campania region. Many highlighted that the cost of public transportation is unsustainable for their budgets, as they already have to cope with the rising cost of living solely on their scholarship money. Consequently, many young people choose not to get a pass, moving almost exclusively on foot and buying single tickets only for long distances. In a global economy and an increasingly interconnected world, exchange programs like Erasmus are vital: they allow students to expand their horizons, gain new skills, and build bridges between different cultures. Therefore, it is crucial that this same support is extended to Erasmus and non-resident students alike, ensuring equal opportunities for everyone.

For this reason, we want to collect as many signatures as possible to present to the Campania Region and the competent authorities, proving that extending student fare discounts is a necessity felt by a constantly growing community. This measure would not only be an act of fairness but also a major step forward toward a truly welcoming and inclusive Campania, embracing the diversity that enriches our universities.

Sign this petition to help us champion this cause and to ensure that every student can study in Campania without facing unfair financial hurdles.

Thank you! Together we can make a difference.
