Put Traffic Lights on Every Pedestrian Lane in Metro Manila

Put Traffic Lights on Every Pedestrian Lane in Metro Manila

The Issue

"Most motorists do not consider pedestrians are road users. This makes pedestrians, everywhere in the world, high-risk safety concerns. Annually over 270,000 pedestrians perish in collisions on the road. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that pedestrians constitute 22% of all road traffic fatalities."                                                                                                            -(Tribdino, 2016)

Given this problem, the government officials should put traffic lights on every pedestrian lane in Metro Manila to improve pedestrian safety. Not only that these traffic lights can help pedestrians cross with ease, but also it can help vehicles to avoid incidents such as collisions.

We would gladly appreciate if you support us by signing this petition. With this, you can make Metro Manila a safer place for you, me, and every pedestrian in our area. Thank you!
