Today is the big day at Metro Council. There will be Committee meetings at 4:00 and 4:30 PM, which are important because they issue recommendations to the larger Council on how to vote. Then Council starts at 6:30 pm. We are asking folks to arrive by 7:30 PM since we’re towards the end of the agenda. We’re looking forward to seeing everybody! Don’t forget to wear Green!

The Budget & Finance Committee meeting met yesterday and the vote was 6-6, which means no recommendation was issued. There was lots of discussion about how selling off land was a terrible way to balance the MNPS school budget and the lack of transparency on the process with no community involvement.
