Good on Amtrak--they have finally started their pilot program allowing small pets on trains. I'm sure Metra is taking note of this and also the $25.00 fee, which will be great for Amtrak. I have spoken and exchanged emails with Peter Zwolfer, Acting Deputy Executive Director – Operations for Metra and found him to be quite reasonable and very kind. Metra really does seem to have made a decision to be much more transparent with the public, which will definitely benefit the organization.
