Emily Schick had this comment today: "I had a very frustrating moment today when after a long day at the vet, I was denied entrance to the Metra train. I had missed class to go to the vet in the morning, which took nearly two hours via CTA; spent multiple hours in a waiting room, and the sun was setting when I tried to board Metra and was extremely rudely denied by the conductor. My phone had died and I had to be at work in the city, so I was forced to go into a random bar and have the bartender call me a cab ride to take back to the city. It was already an ordeal to go far out of my way and take care of my cat today. I had to deal with inhuman treatment at the end of a stressful day and it just pushed me over the edge. I'm signing this petition because I'm pissed, because it's honestly totally ridiculous that a person with a small, quiet pet locked in a crate can't get on a train. Period. Doesn't make any sense. Also, Metra conductor was an extra big jerk."
Dear Metra. Why?
