This substance was located at two mile elk Creek/ elk river 1 and 1/2 miles above American water intake. We just had heavy flooding in the area and this substance looks very similar to the substance located just below well #5. That area up stream from this location has a dark brown looking substance pushing out of the hillside on the creek bank. The bank is washed out now in that area but you can still see clearly where this substance is releasing from. Complaints was filled on this particular substance on 2/17/2023 with wvdep and Charlestons mayor's office. No one has seam to take any action to protect the water ways or conducted any testing to identify this substance. Wvdep was made aware of the building up of this substance at the end of this creek system today 2/21/2023. Complaint filled to there deputy chief with photos and point of origin.
Take action WV call your governor's office and tell them stop the leaks and protect our water ways!!! This is the same area we had the mchm leak
