Fugitive Emissions

Over the years there has been an area on the back side of the mountain that started abnormality around 2018 that I have been able to identify with photographic evidence. Over the years this area has developed about a 30 foot circle of dead vegetation that snow will not stick too, as seen in one of the photographs above. This has been brought to the attention of WVDEP several times with no acknowledgment. Since working with scientists and environmentalists, I have learned that it is fugitive emissions of gas. I have never experienced an odor of gas in this direct area which leads me to believe that it is methane gas seeping through the ground with other impurities. I have requested several times for the soil to be tested with no luck. With the education I have now, and prior knowledge, this is very abnormal. If it is fugitive emissions from early orphaned 1900 wells it would explain the perfect circle. WVDEP we want clear answers and testing on what is causing this and answers on why it has not been acknowledged. Is it odorless invisible methane ?
