It’s just not fair that games should get low scores on metacritic. No game should get anything below an 85 because the meta score really really matters. I’m not so much concerned that publishers put such a huge emphasis on meta score, often making bonuses for the developers who made the game contingent on such a score, but rather what the review score means to me personally. I then can’t use that arbitrary “average” of numbers, comprised of seemingly random review sites (some credible and some unknown) and even those from sites with no prior interest in gaming, to lord over fans of other games or systems in a pointless “console war.”

The meta score keeps me awake at night, making me wake up in an anxious sweat in the middle of the night worried if my precious game I had no hand in making is still sitting at a 94 or dropped to a 93! It’s just better than in the long term we remove all the negative scores from metacritic for everyone’s health and well-being. Ignore those who would say that we would like objectivity or transparent review practices from reviewers or metacritic, but rather avoid all negativity whatsoever.

Metacritic, please begin to make this right by gamers by removing any and all scores by reviewers less than an 85 on the 2 most recent releases, Uncharted 4 and DOOM. Pretty pretty please?
