El Paso, TX - Stop the Borderland Expressway

El Paso, TX - Stop the Borderland Expressway
The Issue
Some of those that live in the Mesquite Hills Neighborhood (and other neighborhoods) in El Paso, TX do not want the borderland expressway to be built by our neighborhood. This will result in additional noise to our quiet neighborhood and the potential for more pollution/affected air quality along with additional traffic. They will likely have to close lanes as they start construction at intersecting areas. Not wanting to speak for all but some of us haven’t had our say in this matter. With the outcome of the border protection encampment that was setup, with the highway our property values will be going down. Of course that won’t stop City of El Paso from raising our property taxes which will cost us more money.
This also affects other neighborhoods other than just Mesquite Hills. I wanted to say that your opinion matters too! Edited the title to say just El Paso, TX
