Meru town and its environs have for long experienced constant water shortages.

This problem persists in dry and rainy seasons unabated!

Some areas such us Gitimbine, Kooje, CBD, Makutano, Kinoru among others have gone for days and weeks without water!

This is despite MEWASS having commissioned a Sh23 million augmented water treatment plant which they said increased capacity from 4,150 to 10,000 cubic meters of water.

"The plant will go a long way in addressing the problem of intermittent water supply in Meru Town and it's environs." They said!!!

The shortage is AGAINST Meru governor's mantra of 'WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE'!!!
