Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a brief update on the Revive Mitcham Eastfields petition.

Following submission of the petition, meetings have now taken place with council leadership, senior officers, and Network Rail (via Dame Siobhain McDonagh MP). Network Rail have confirmed that the issues raised around Mitcham Eastfields, including train frequency to 15 minute intervals and capacity, are now being actively assessed as part of their ongoing planning work.

In the short term, Network Rail have committed to reviewing level crossing performance and assessing the business case for increased service frequency at Mitcham Eastfields. Further work is also underway internally, and I will share a fuller update once that process progresses.
