There is currently a public vote open on how part of Merton Council’s Legacy Fund should be spent — including up to £3 million on community projects across the borough.
You can view and take part in the vote here:

Some of the options being consulted on include town centre improvements that could directly benefit Mitcham, such as:
- Pavement upgrades to make busy areas safer and more accessible
- Shop front improvements to support local businesses and footfall
- Investment in Canons House and its grounds, a key Mitcham asset
These proposals closely align with many of the issues raised through the Revive Mitcham Eastfields petition — particularly the need for visible, practical investment in our town centre and public spaces.
If you haven’t already, I’d strongly encourage you to take part in this vote. It’s another opportunity for residents’ voices to directly influence decisions that affect Mitcham.
Thank you again for your continued support — the petition is already helping ensure Mitcham is part of these conversations.
