I wanted to share a positive update with everyone who has supported the Revive Mitcham Eastfields petition.

Following the petition, I’ve now been invited to a meeting with the Mitcham Common Manager and the Friends of Mitcham Common to discuss the issues raised around the Common. These include:

• Ongoing maintenance and litter
• Safety and lighting, particularly for evening use
• Accessibility for elderly and disabled residents
• Signage and facilities
• How the Common can be better supported and more actively used by the wider community

Ahead of that meeting, I want to make sure I’m representing residents’ views as fully as possible.
