I wanted to share an important update with you.

Following the petition passing 1,000 signatures, Dame Siobhain McDonagh MP has now written formally to Network Rail on our behalf, calling for improvements to train services at Mitcham Eastfields.

She has acknowledged that this petition goes beyond trains and is about the wider future of Mitcham Eastfields, including traffic, the town centre and public spaces. Opening a dialogue with Network Rail is the first step, not the end.

A response is expected within four weeks and I will share it as soon as it arrives.

This shows that signing and sharing does make a difference. Please keep spreading the word. The more support we show, the stronger our position when the next stages begin.
