Dear Supporters,

Thank you once again for signing and sharing the petition to revive Mitcham Eastfields. Your support is helping our community’s voice be heard louder than ever.

We have some important updates:

  • The petition has now surpassed 1,000 signatures, showing strong local backing.
  • Siobhain McDonagh MP has formally acknowledged the petition and is taking action on train frequency.
  • Leonie Cooper AM is also aware of the petition and monitoring it.
  • Based on feedback from residents on social media, we have now formally included concerns about elderly and disabled residents. This covers accessibility around the town centre, including safe roads, convenient parking, and accessible public spaces, ensuring that Mitcham Eastfields works for all residents.

We’re continuing to push for: better trains, revitalised town centre, safe and well-maintained green spaces, and inclusive planning as the area grows.

Next steps: We are following up with councillors and the council to formally register the petition and ensure these concerns are taken seriously.

Please keep signing and sharing. Every signature adds weight and increases pressure for real change.
