Save an independent business and have a say in how your town centre is being redeveloped! Tunsgate shopping centre in Guildford is being redeveloped and the current businesses, many independent, are being forced to close. The Continental Cafe is an independent, family run business and would like to be included in the new development but unfortunately, they have been told they can not. We believe the new development should include local independent businesses, not just big chains. The cafe has built up, over many years, a very good reputation and has many regular customers who love the menu, staff and location. Not to mention the ground floor open seating area that is ideal for families with buggies and wheelchairs users.
