Merlins story,

on June 24th, about 6pm. My dogs Merlin and Tazz got out of the house through the front door when nobody was home, I guess the door wasn't shut all the way. my neighbor Mike seen Tazz down the street, so he called to him and said Tazz get home, tazz walked with my neighbor mike to my house, as they were walking, mike seen Andrew and told him to get a hold of us to let us know that are dogs were out front. As they got up to my gate Mike seen Merlin in my neighbor Denise's front yard and called to him and told him to get I to his yard, Mike opened my gate and Merlin went in the yard, but Tazz roamed into Denise's backyard, so Mike went to get Tazz, Mike decided to lock Tazz in Denise's yard, as he was coming around to shut our gate cause Merlin was in my yard..Andrew and his girlfriend Starr was outside, He walked passed my property on to Denise's property and his girlfriend Starr walked up to my property on my grass by my driveway, Merlin seen Starr and walked out by the gate and barked, she screamed and jumped on the truck that was in front of my house, Merlin walked a little further down my driveway and barked again, did not chase her, according to witnesses these were normal barks. like playful greeting barks. She screamed "Andrew do something", Mike called to Merlin to tell him to get in the yard, Merlin looked at Mike and started to back up and go, but then out of nowhere Andrew started shooting Merlin with a 9mm gun with hollow point bullets, he shot about 5-6 times at Merlin, one bullet hit the Truck that Starr was on and went into the vehicle behind that vehicle. Merlin was bleeding very bad, but he made it to the backyard behind his own house and bled to death. No witnesses seen a gun, until Andrew started shooting. He didn't have the gun into the open or on a holster for open carry, he doesn't have a cpl carrying license. Andrew and his girlfriend didn't have to come out of there house, they were not helping, my neighbor Mike had everything under control, Mike is trained in situations like these cause he volunteers for an animal rescue, my dogs were not on Andrew's property, Andrew was on my neighbor Denise's property that's two houses away from his own house. Andrew should have been arrested that night, but as soon as Eastpointe police found out it was a pitbull there were no questions asked, It was like they didn't care that he was shooting a gun in a residential area with people around and didn't care that he shot Merlin to death for no reason. Starr told police that Merlin attacked her, but he was 10 feet away from her and about 10 feet away from Andrew and Mike, Merlin didn't leave his driveway. He would never hurt anyone. we have lived here for five years, Andrew and his family new Merlin, all Andrew had to say to him was get In the yard and I believe he would have cause Mike had him in the yard once before Merlin came out again. All my neighbors are furious that he shot a gun at Merlin and killed him.
