Meredith College's security has proven time and time again that they are barely protecting its students. From letting anyone in to not being helpful when called, there are lots of issues with the security staffing. Many students have seen the security booth at the entrance remain empty for hours on end as well as staff in the booth watching TV rather than doing their job. On October 13th, 2022, two men came onto the campus protesting anti-abortion ideas. While doing this, these men harassed students calling students "sluts" or "whores". If Meredith's security was better, these men would not have made it onto the campus at all. In the end, it was Belk Dining Hall staff who helped get the situation under control, not security. Please sign to help show we students DO NOT FEEL SAFE ON MEREDITH CAMPUS! If these men can easily get into the campus, imagine how easy someone with a weapon could get into the campus.
