We call upon Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri to immediately dismiss all pending charges on Jazmine Headley.

We call upon NJ Governor Phil Murphy to join our call for immediate dismissal of the charges.

Jazmine Headley and her baby child were subjected to extreme terror by NYPD - video that is being watched around the world shows the police physically abusing her and ripping her baby from her arms.

Jazmine Headley was merely trying to await in queue to seek a daycare voucher so that she could work in the cleaning service to support her child.  There were no chairs for her to sit in so she was sitting on the floor so that she could hold on to her child. She had awaited service for many hours before the police were called and the brutality occurred.

The charges Mercer County is attempting to prosecute are low level economic charges,  The state violence that Jazmine Headley and her baby son endured will likely result in lasting Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  The police were initially holding Jazmine Headley due to the NJ charges. NJ must distance itself from this brutality and provide immediate relief to Jazmine Headley by immediately dropping the charges.

Certainly the trauma suffered by her and her child is enough and now she needs the opportunity to recover and get immediate relief.

It is imperative that the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the NJ Governor heed this call to justice in this regard.

Dismiss all NJ charges against Jazmine Headley immediately and unconditionally!
