This petition is calling for Governments to take action to support evidence based medicine and share simple common sense information to help protect against COVID-19.

Scientific reports show that people can be effectively protected against COVID-19 by taking simple steps and using evidence based medicine.

In the US The Front Line COVID 19 Critical Care Alliance was formed in 2020 by a group of leading critical care specialists who have published reports showing  that Ivermectin, Vitamin C and Vitamin D can improve the immune system and help protect against COVID. In addition there are a growing concerns about  the effectiveness of multiple MRNA vaccines and about adverse effects.

The Surgeon General in Florida has advised against the MRNA vaccine for certain age groups.

In the UK an Award Winning Cardiologist and campaigner Dr Aseem Malhotra has raised concerns about MRNA vaccines and called for evidence based medicine.

High blood sugar, diabetes and obesity weaken the immune system and significantly increase the risk of severe COVID and death YET THIS INFORMATION HAS NOT BEEN SHARED.

The UK and US have some of the highest COVID death rates in the world because people in the US and UK don't have a functioning immune system and we have some of the highest rates of diabetes and obesity.

There is currently no immediate cure for COVID19 and prevention is better than cure. Any vaccine is only effective if people have a functioning immune system. There are simple common sense steps which can be taken and are proven by scientific research to help improve the immune system which will reduce the effects of COVID19 if someone is infected 
These steps could make the difference between being asymptomatic or not, or going to hospital or not, or needing a ventilator or not, or living or not.

In  May 2020 the Chinese University Hong Kong published A Research paper showing a significant reduction in severe symptoms in COVID patients by restoring the gut biome

In June 2020 Dr Michael Mosley published a Guide about the Gut Biome and COVID 

 In July 2020 a University in Rome published a Research Paper following a study to restore the Gut Biome using a probiotic which showed an 8 fold reduction in severe symptoms 

In September 2020 further research has been published confirming the link between the Gut Biome and COVID 19

One statistic shows that 72% of serious cases admitted to ICU were either overweight or obese. Nutrition and Diet are a significant factor in the severity of COVID19 symptoms.

Exercise- helps to improve the gut biome and immunity, it releases endorphins which help to improve mental state and improves circulation
Nutrition- is essential for the immune system. Diet does not always meet nutritional needs especially in those who are elderly or when fighting illness and infection.Vitamin C and D and Probiotics are proven to help

Scientists in China shared their research in February including Management of Corona Virus disease-19 (COVID-19): The Zhejiang Experience] and Potential Interventions for Novel Coronavirus in China: A Systemic Review  in the hope that the information would be used to save lives.

In the UK Dr Aseem Malhotra has campaigned to promote healthy nutrition for many years. He has made the point that it is important for everyone including health professionals to maintain a healthy diet at this critical time.

Data from the first 2204 patients admitted to 286 NHS ICU’s with COVID- 19 reveal that 72.7% of them were overweight or obese. (7) 

A research article reports  The Perfect Storm: Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic Meets Overfat Pandemic

In the US Dr Joseph Mercola  published research showing that Vitamin C and D can be used to help treat respiratory disease. He has now been proven right with Vitamins C and D Finally Adopted as Coronavirus Treatment

Scientists have now published further rersearch  confirming that the role of Vitamin D in coronavirus infections seems to be more important by the day.

The BMJ has published COVID-19: is there a role for immunonutrition, particularly in the over 65s? by Dr Emma Derbyshire detailing the importance of nutrition, in particular for the elderly.

This article  Nutritionist reveals how looking after your GUT is the best way to boost your immune system during coronavirus outbreak  is by Kate Llewellyn-Waters and has information to help people reduce the risk from infection.

There are nutritional and dietary supplements like probiotics which can help to restore the gut biome. Some have been clinically proven to reach the gut and improve the biome

There are papers on Diet and Immune Function and Optimal Nutritional Status for a Well-Functioning Immune System Is an Important Factor to Protect against Viral Infections

This information has been acknowledged by senior members  of the World Health Organisation, PHE, The Welcome Trust and the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies. They have previously reported the importance of Mind, Exercise, Nutrition and Diet, but have not published the same information during the current global health crisis.
There is no vaccine or other pharmaceutical treatment currently available for COVID19.
Surely simple common sense therapies should be used to reduce the risks from infection?
Ask the WHO, Health agencies and Governments to share this information urgently to reduce the impact on healthcare systems and to save lives.
